GOUROCK Park"s bowling four lost out in the quarter-final play-off to Guernsey in the British Isles Championships at Belmont, Northern Ireland, last week.
The boys, who won the Scottish Fours title last year to gain entry to the competition, were beaten 21-9 after leading for eight ends.
They came up against a top Guernsey quartet who went on to reach the final, only losing out after a measure when the game went to an extra end.
It was a great experience for the Gourock four who have once again reached the Scottish Finals after being triumphant in the District 23 championships. They are also off soon to play in a prestigious fours event at East Kilbride.
