A PARTY of 19 Inverclyde youngsters will take to the skies tomorrow to spend the weekend at the Wimbledon Grand Slam Championships where they will see their tennis heroes in action.

Most of the group got together last weekend to do a special sponsorship to help with the costs involved and now they can"t wait to be at Wimbledon.

The trip has been organised by Tennis Inverclyde, which organises tennis and short tennis activities locally and encourages people of all ages to get involved in the sport.

'We"re all hoping to see a Murray v Federer final,' said chairman Chris Jewell. 'And we would love to see Andy Murray lift the trophy. Whatever happens, the youngsters will have the time of their lives and remember this experience for many years to come. '

Murray meets Andy Roddick this afternoon on Centre Court in the semi-final.
