Golf ladies Open a success

THE Greenock Golf Club Ladies' Section held a very successful Open Day last Sunday.

The competition took the form of a greensome stableford, and the prizewinners were as follows:

1, Elspeth Hanlon (Gourock) and Anne Terrey (Greenock) 39 pts; 2, Cathie Gibson (Catkin Braes) and Elizabeth Todd (Catkin Braes) 38 pts; 3, Lynda Bradley (Kilmacolm) and Annabel Kane (Kilmacolm) 37 pts, better last six; 4, Anne Judge (Ranfurly Castle) and Linda McDougall 37 BIH.

Sponsored holes: Nearest the pin at third - Lynda Bradley(Kilmacolm) and Annabel Kane (Kilmacolm).

Nearest the pin at 16th - Helen Armstrong (Greenock) and Marilynn Muirhead (Ranfurly Castle).

Nearest the pin at 13th - Norma Connell (Kilmacolm) and Mo Neilson (Greenock).

Nearest the pin in two at 8th - Donna Jackson (Cochrane Castle) and Liz Stewart (Greenburn).

Nearest the pin in two at 14th - Anne Judge (Ranfurly Castle) and Linda McDougall (Greenock).
