POWER PLAY: Anthony Devlin.

GREENOCK Wanderers conclude their successful 2009/10 league programme tomorrow with a rescheduled match at Langloan against old rivals Waysiders / Drumpellier.

The Lanarkshire side are in a comfortable mid-table position but will look to end their season on a high by beating the Division 2 League Champions.

The hosts have won nine of their twenty matches to date but were well beaten at Fort Matilda in October when Wanderers put them to the sword 37-0.

Waysiders are a strong, hard side with a proud home record, although they have gone off the boil a bit in their last two outings when they lost to Cambuslang and Glasgow Academicals.

Wanderers are on the crest of a wave and secured a place at Murrayfield on Finals Day last weekend when they defeated the previously-unbeaten Dalziel in a National Shield Semi-Final tie at Fort Matilda, right.

Wanderers have already lifted the 2nd Division title and are on course for a double if they can get the better of Lasswade in the final on 24 April.

Preparations start here for Wanderers, and several fringe players will be looking to catch the selectors' eye.

Wanderers will be resting some key players who are carrying minor knocks. Skipper David Watson, Kieren Smith, Brendan McGroarty, Matt Duncan, Callum Robb, Andy McDougall and Jim McArthur will all miss out tomorrow.

But coach Bob Adams said: "The players will travel to Drumpellier in confident and positive mood and will look to keep the winning run going.

"With the exception of young Iain Forster, all the players have played at first team level this season so they know exactly what is expected of them."

Former captains David Murray and Graham Finnie are included and with Matt Gray taking over captaincy on the day from skipper Watson, leadership on the park will certainly not be in short supply.

This is an exciting young side and it will be interesting to see the two Greg's, Workman and Fletcher, on either wing having a tilt at the hosts' defence, with Sean Connolly aiming to enter the line as often as possible from full-back.

Scrum-half Forster also travels and he looks likely to start after a season out with injury.

Waysiders' v Wanderers at Langloan. Kick-Off 3 pm.

Squad; D Smith, A McMichael, M Lavelle, M Gray [C], N Patterson, J Stewart, A Abernethy, G Finnie, I Foster, A Devlin, G Workman, D Murray, L Tyley, G Fletcher, S Connolly, R Lavelle.

• Wanderers are sponsored by National Semiconductor [UK] Ltd
