A TALENTED Greenock rugby teen flies out today to take part in an elite invitation-only summer training camp in France.
Flanker Scott Renfrew, 16, will join around 30 of the best young players from the west of Scotland at the annual Glasgow Thistles Rugby Training Camp in Perpignan next month. The fourth year Clydeview Academy pupil has been a keen player since he was six, previously representing Greenock Wanderers.
For the last six years Scott, of Fox Street, has enjoyed being part of Glasgow Hutchesons' Aloysians RFC squad.
The training camp will provide top-class coaching as well as excellent gym facilities and some of the best medical and rugby theory support.
Players from previous camps have went on to represent Scotland, including British Lions player Richie Gray.
