LODGE Greenock Kilwinning No XII, the oldest masonic lodge in the province, recently held its Burns Supper in the Tontine Hotel, Greenock.

Those lucky enough to have attended were treated to an evening of fine dining and excellent entertainment.

The event began with a well-delivered Address to the Haggis by Gordon Middleton of West Kilbride Burns Club.

Ian Ross gave an interesting Immortal Memory to Scotland"s Bard, followed by a musical interlude with songs from Pearl Adamson of Dunoon accompanied by Russell Cowieston on piano.

Gordon gave a rendition of Tam O"Shanter which was followed by a humorous story of Tam"s long-suffering wife "Kate O"Shanter," told by Wilma Rodger.

Arthur Young delighted guests with some of Burns" best-loved songs.

The "Toast to the Lasses" was given by Allan Rodger which was suitably replied to by his wife Wilma.

At the end of the night Bro Kenneth McDougall, the RWM of Lodge Greenock Kilwinning No XII thanked everyone for attending, including the performers for making the evening so enjoyable.

Bro Kenneth also thanked the chairman for the evening, Bro Robert Lamb, WSW, for organising and putting together the whole event.

At the close of the supper everyone gathered in a circle for Auld Lang Syne.
