McCRORIE - Ian MBE (Greenock) Died peacefully on 5th December 2019 at Ardgowan Hospice, Ian, beloved husband of Olive, father of Roderick and Douglas and grandfather of Finlay. Private Committal followed by a Thanksgiving Service at 1.30pm on 16th December at Wellpark Mid Kirk, Greenock. No flowers please.

I am writing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

I am greatly saddened to hear of Mr. McCrorie's passing.

I am a past pupil of his, and he was a huge influence for good in my teenage life.

While Mr. McCrorie was my chemistry teacher, I learned more about music, about life and how to set a path to understand the power of a moderating influence in some of the situations that certainly we all have to face.

I was brought up in Finnart St. Greenock, just round the corner from the family and I wish to extend my condolences and best wishes to the whole family, Olive, Roderick and Douglas and their now extended families.
