ARTHUR (Tain) Very suddenly but peacefully in his home, 9 Culpleasant Avenue, Tain on Wednesday 16th September 2020, James "Jim" Arthur, aged 93 years, "Ross-shire's Grand Old Man of Brass" (formerly of The Grove, High Street, Tain and Port Glasgow), beloved husband of Shona, a much loved father of Alex, Ruth, Shona, George and Jean, a loving grandpa, great grandpa, great great grandpa, a dear father in law, dearly loved brother of the late Ruth and Iain and loved by all the extended family and friends. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday 22nd September in St. Duthus New Cemetery, Tain at 1. p.m. For those wishing to pay their last respects the funeral cortegé will leave from the family home at 12.30 p.m, thereafter coming along Tain High Street on the way to St Duthus New Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to the funeral or donations if so desired may be given at the service for The Salvation Army or by post to Alasdair Rhind, Funeral Directors Sutherland House, Bank Street, Tain or by bacs to:rbs s/c 83-27-35, a/c 00254580 Ref The Late James Arthur.

I will miss you Jim. Many fond memories. You taught me how to properly apply lots of butter to my toast. It was strange to attend the funeral by zoom but it was a Beautiful funeral. God bless you my heart breaks right now.
