HILL - Robert Maxwell Ellen and the family of the late Maxie sincerely thank all relatives, friends and neighbours (old and new) and former council colleagues for letters, cards and beautiful floral tributes. The large attendance at Greenock Crematorium was greatly appreciated. Sincere thanks also to Alan Wylie Secretary of Greenock and District Battalion The Boys' Brigade for arranging the very moving Guard of Honour with members, former members and the O.B.U., to Piper Billy Mooney and to the Captain of the Nigerian company who sent his condolences. Our grateful thanks also to Reverend William Boyle for his warm words, to P.B. Wright and Sons for professional and sensitive funeral arrangements, and to The Tontine Hotel for efficient catering. Last but not least to the staff at The Star Hotel for providing snacks and toasts throughout the day and night. The support given and thoughtfulness shown will never be forgotten. Love to all.
