(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN SOUTH MIMMS, SHENLEY AND BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2020

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN SOUTH MIMMS, SHENLEY AND BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-


1. that length of Swanland Road, South Mimms from its junction with the St Albans Road roundabout north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Hawkshead Lane, a distance of approximately 2690m. An alternative route will be via St Albans Road, B556 (Cecil Road/Mutton Lane), Darkes Lane, Church Road, A1000 Great North Road, Hawkshead Road and Hawkshead Lane.


2. that length of Blackhorse Lane, South Mimms from its southernmost junction with B556 St Albans Road north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 383m. An alternative route will be via B556 St Albans Road and Blackhorse Lane.


3. that length of B5378 Woodhall Lane, Shenley/B5378 Green Street, Borehamwood from its junction with B5378 London Road south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Stapleton Road, a distance of approximately 1509m. An alternative route will be via B5378 (London Road/Black Lion Hill/Shenleybury/Shenley Lane), A414 North Orbital Road, A5183 (Watling Street/Park Street/Frogmore/Radlett Road/ Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street) and B5378 (Allum Lane/Shenley Road/ Cowley Hill/Green Street).


The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.


If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 September 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SWANLAND ROAD, SOUTH MIMMS/NORTH MYMMS) ORDER 2020


NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Swanland Road, South Mimms/North Mymms from its junction with the St Albans Road roundabout north eastwards, north westwards, northwards and north westwards to its junction with Dixons Hill Road (“the Road”), a distance of approximately 4398m, except for access.


An alternative non-motorway route will be via St Albans Road, Bignells Corner, A1081 St Albans Road, Dancers Hill Road, A1000 (Barnet Road/High Street/Hatfield Road/Great North Road) and Dixons Hill Road.


An alternative motorway route will be via St Albans Road, Bignells Corner, M25, A111 Southgate Road, A1000 (High Street/Hatfield Road/Great North Road) and Dixons Hill Road. The Order is needed because bridge inspection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.


The Order has been made and shall come into force on 17 August 2020 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
