The Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Scotland Regulations 2017

Notice under Regulation 27

The proposed development at Killoch Depot, Killoch Colliery off A70, West of Ochiltree, Ochiltree, Cumnock is subject to environmental impact assessment under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (Scotland) Regulations 2017.
Notice is hereby given that additional information in the form of an EIA Addendum dated March 2022 has been submitted to East Ayrshire Council by Barr Environmental Limited relating to an application for planning permission for the erection of an Energy Recovery Park to include an energy from waste recovery facility and visitor centre; external stack, plant and associated infrastructure and alterations to access.
Possible decisions relating to the planning application are: (i) Approval of the application without conditions, (ii) Approval of the application with conditions or (iii) Refusal of the application. Such a decision will be taken in accordance with the Council's scheme of delegation.
The EIA Addendum, together with the EIA Report, the associated application and other documents submitted with the application may be viewed at

Any person who wishes to make representations to East Ayrshire Council about the EIA Report should make them in writing to the Council within 30 days beginning with the date of this notice and submit them: (i) online at

Should further additional information be submitted by the applicant, that information will be publicised by East Ayrshire Council under Regulation 27 of the above Regulations and in a similar manner to the notification given under this notice. Any such publication will include details of how representations in relation to that additional information may be made.
