Argyll And Bute Council (West Princes Street And Colquhoun Street. Helensburgh) (Special Event) [Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2022

On Wednesday 27th July 2022, Argyll and Bute Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, with the consent of the Scottish Ministers under Sections 16B(1)(b) of the said Act, made the above named Order the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, for the purpose of facilitating the Christmas lights switch on event and the Winter Festival, no person shall drive or cause to or permit to be driven any vehicle through the sections of road on the dates and at the times as indicated in the schedule below.

Schedule - Prohibition of Traffic
[1) 27th August 2022 from 0930 hours to 1830 hours
West Princes Street (Colquhoun Square) extending from its junction with Sinclair Street to its junction with James Street.

Colquhoun Street extending from its junction with West King Street to its junction with Colquhoun Square
The restrictions imposed by this Order, which are desirable because of considerations of public safety and convenience during the event, will be in operation when indicated by signs.
Exceptions will apply to any vehicle which is being driven upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable in uniform or an event steward; an emergency services vehicle; or an authorised vehicle associated with the organisation of the event.
