The draft order may be cited as the Orchard Street Housing Renewal Area Draft Designation Order 2016 and covers all properties and communal areas at the following addresses: 33 Causeyside Street, Paisley 3,5,7 and 9 Orchard Street, Paisley

It is intended that this proposal will enable comprehensive improvement of the tenements at 33 Causeyside Street and 3-9 Orchard St. through a partnership project by the Council and Paisley Housing Association, supported by the Scottish Government. It is anticipated that Paisley Housing Association will acquire ownership of the majority of the
properties within the area.
Owners who wish to retain ownership and participate in the
improvement scheme may be eligible for grant support funding from the Council. This would be available at the level set out in the Council's Scheme of Assistance i.e. Resident owners on income support or other similar benefits - 50%, resident owners - 35%, and non-resident owners - 25%. As non-resident owners, owners of commercial properties would be entitled to grant support of 25% of costs. Further details can be found at www.renfrewshire.gov.uk Submitting representations
