POLICE are investigating a suspected case of fraud involving a 93-year-old woman in Pennyfern, Greenock.
She agreed a three-figure sum for a roof repair on 20 February, but now believes she may have paid too much.
Detectives are looking into the case and want to hear from anyone else in Pennyfern who may have been approached by roof repairers around that date.
DI David Wagstaff said: "Inquiries are continuing.
"Meantime, we would urge everyone to go to legal contractors for any house repairs."
Anyone with information about the Pennyfern case is asked to call CID on 492500.
