SCHOOL pupils and church members in Gourock have made sure that financially-struggling families do not go hungry.
Clydeview Academy and St Columba’s High schools joined forces with the area’s three primary schools and five churches for a massive collection for the Inverclyde Foodbank.
A special collection van spent six hours touring round all the venues before the goods were handed in to the charity at the end of the day.
Clydeview head teacher Willie Todd was impressed with people’s generosity.
He said: “It went really well as the van was full to the rafters. It is a great initiative and we hope that it helps a lot of people.”
