A GOUROCK man had a lucky escape after his car hit a lamppost in Port Glasgow.
The 34-year-old’s silver Ford Focus was involved in a crash on Dubbs Road near to the junction with Morar Road just before 3.45pm yesterday.
Two appliances from Port Glasgow fire station attended the scene along with police and paramedics. The man suffered concussion and was taken to hospital. He has since been released and is said to have no serious injuries.
The road was closed for over an hour, reopening at around 5pm after the carriageway was cleared.
Police confirmed this morning that there are currently no charges in connection with the crash but a spokesman added that enquiries are still ongoing.
