GREENOCK golfer Chris Doak finished tied a fine 29th in the BWM International Open Championship after a closing 71 yesterday.
Doak had narrowly made the cut after two steady opening rounds of 70 and 71 helped him qualify for the final two days’ play.
Doak, who performed well in the same tournament last year, fired a 69 in the third round before another steady closing performance on Sunday.
He shared 29th spot with nine other players, including fellow Scot Paul Lawrie, netting him a 15,673 euro cheque.
It is Doak’s second finish in the money in recent weeks after he took home just over 11,000 euros for a 63rd place finish in the BMW PGA Championship last month.
