SCAM letters have been sent out inviting Inverclyde people to phone the ‘Euromillions People’s International Postcode Lottery’ to claim alleged winnings.
A Murdieston Street resident said: “This is a scam trying to get people to call a number that could end up costing them a lot of money.” The man was told in his letter that he had won £720,000, although he had never bought a ticket for the fake competition.
