A GENEROUS Greenock care home has raised money to help people suffering from cancer.
Staff and residents at Balclutha Court Care Home joined their families and friends for a coffee morning recently which raised £380 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Jill Magee, who is an admin assistant at the Forsyth Street home, thanked everyone for digging deep in their pockets to help others in need.
She said: “It was a great day and everyone was really generous with their donations.
“In the dining room we had tea, coffee and cake for everyone and people could also buy home baking on the day.” Jill was keen to thank the organisers David Docherty and Margaret Bell, who are both activities co-ordinators at the home, as well as chef James Sweeney for producing the tasty treats.
