A GREENOCK woman won a stunning photo after visiting a unique art exhibition in Broomhill.

Lynsey Graham was presented with her favourite image from an arts event after she entered a prize draw.

In the autumn River Clyde Homes (RCH) took part in the annual Doors Open Days festival for the first time.

The area’s largest housing association opened a show flat in one of the Broomhill tower blocks in Greenock and hosted an exhibition of photographs by the popular Facebook-based Dark Side o’ Inverclyde project.

Over 200 people attended the weekend showcase.

Lynsey said: “I really enjoyed the chance to see inside the flat. The view was amazing and I loved the exhibition. The print will find a home in my hall.”

Broomhill is a hive of activity at the moment with an ambitious £29 million regeneration project well under way to revamp over 650 homes.

Councillor Ronnie Ahlfeld, RCH board member, said: “This innovative project was a great success and visitor numbers exceeded our expectations, bringing over 200 people across the doorstep of a flat in Broomhill.

“The feedback from visitors was very positive with regards to the size and the quality of the internally refurbished flat.”

A selection of exhibition photographs will be displayed in the RCH Broomhill office in January.
