TWO jet skiers had to be rescued this afternoon after becoming stuck on a sandbank opposite Langbank.
The coastguard rescue team from Greenock were contacted at 12.30pm to the area opposite West Ferry.
RNLI Helensburgh also attended at the scene.
A coastguard spokesperson said that by using a 'great degree of physical effort' and their winch line they managed to re-float the skis.
They added: "Thereafter the lifeboat escorted the skiers to Coronation Park slip at Port Glasgow where Greenock CRT assisted in retrieving the skis.
"Coastguards also took the opportunity of imparting some basic advice and sources of information to allow them to enjoy their pastime in a safe and secure manner."
