FORTY more new jobs are being created at the Port Glasgow retail park with the opening of a B&M store.
The homeware retailer already has a shop in Greenock and say their latest will be a welcome boost to the Inverclyde economy.
Store manager, Nikki Middleton, described B&M as one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers.
The new store will sell branded and own label products including toys, food and drink, pet products and health and beauty.
Ms Middleton said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of new jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers in a few weeks.”
The store will open on Wednesday September 28 at 9am.
A mixture of full and part-time positions are available, ranging from sales assistants to floor managers and cleaners, with the company recruiting online at its website.
Pets at Home, who have a shop in Greenock, are also currently considering taking a unit at the retail park.
Meanwhile, clothes retailer TK Maxx will open there on September 22, creating 50 jobs.
Supermarket chain Aldi and Watt Brothers are also on the way, and Marks & Spencer are switching to the retail park next year after closing in Greenock’s Oak Mall.
