VISITORS got on board at Scotland’s Boat Show at Inverkip Marina during a series of fun taster sessions.
The Royal Yachting Association(RYA) Scotland ran free activities in dinghy sailing, yacht and motor cruising, RIB driving and accessible boating.
These proved popular, with over 350 getting afloat and enjoying the freedom of being on the water.
James Allan, of RYA Scotland, explained: “The success of the Get Afloat experience was really key for the event and it was the absolute perfect stage to bring so many people into the environment of boating and try going on the water in a variety of ways to sail.”
HRH Princess Royal opened the 30th anniversary show, touring some of the 120 vessels on display, touring the exhibitions and viewing the on-the water activities.
