A GROUP of Morton fans have designs on seeing the strip they created worn by their heroes - and now Tele readers can help turn their dream into a reality.

Supporters young and old were given the chance to help the club create the away kit the team will wear next season.

Today we can unveil the final 12, and it’s over to you, the fans, to choose your favourite and see the winner’s design turned into the team’s colours.

You can vote using the coupon which will be on page three of the Telegraph every day, with voting open now through until November 6.

All votes should be handed in or posted to the Telegraph office in Crawfurd Street by that date.

At that point, the four strips with the highest number of votes will be created and put on public display in Smiths in West Blackhall Street on December 9.

Voting will then reopen, with the opportunity to vote in Smiths for free, or in the Telegraph, where votes will count double.

Voting will be open until December 16, at which point votes from the Telegraph and those registered at Smiths will be counted and the winner announced.

Morton’s head of community coaching, Brian McLaughlin, said: “All at Morton in the Community have been overwhelmed by the response to the competition and can’t thank everyone enough for their support.

“We received a total of 726 entries, which was unbelievable. It was an almost impossible job of whittling them down to just 12. We now have a dozen worthy candidates that I’m sure the team would be proud to wear on their travels next season and I’m excited to see the winning design chosen by the Morton faithful.”

Morton director Warren Hawke, pictured, added: “We were delighted with the response and having to reduce the selection down to a final 12 was a very difficult task.

“Most of the designs were brilliant and we tried to select the best final 12 to give the variety required for the fans to choose their favourite four strips for the final public vote in December.

“On behalf of the club and Trust, I would like to thank all of people who took part for their efforts.”
