A 'WHEELIE' great event has been organised in Branchton to encourage more people to use pedal power.
People of all ages and abilities are being invited to a bike festival at Branchton Community Centre on Sunday.
It will involve a range of cycling-themed activities and services on offer - including bike MOTs, obstacle courses, an adult cycling proficiency course and bikes which make smoothies.
Cyclists will also get the chance to 'bling up' their bikes while a raffle will be held with the chance to win £100 towards a new one.
Branchton Community Centre manager Willie Wilson said: "We want this event to be the start of bike activities at Branchton.
"We hope to start a bike maintenance group and leader-led bike trips."
The event, funded by a £2,000 grant from Cycling UK, is from 10am to 4pm.
There are limited places for the adult cycling proficiency course so anyone who would like to take part must contact the centre on 638481.
