INSPIRATIONAL author Cathy MacPhail shared her love of reading with youngsters at a recent school visit.
Cathy, who is the Reading Champion for Port Glasgow Shared Campus, met up with first year pupils there.
The award-winning writer read passages from her books followed by a question-and-answer session.
School librarian Gail Colbron said: “It was a joint campus event with pupils from Port Glasgow High, St Stephen’s and Craigmarloch taking part.
“Cathy is brilliant, the kids are inspired by her because she is from the local area and shows that anyone can write and it doesn’t matter where you come from. You don’t have to be from New York or London.”
