A MUM-of-three from Inverclyde is going global with her healthy eating plan after bouncing back from heartbreak.

Christy Hyslop hit an all-time low when her marriage broke down and she moved back to her home village.

The former retail manager found herself comfort eating and piling on the pounds as she coped on her own, with her youngest child only five months old.

In a bid to turn her life around she started studying nutrition — and was soon back fighting fit.

As scores of mums at the school gate lined up to ask her for tips, Christy hit on the idea of launching her own eating and lifestyle plan.

Now she has a queue of clients from as far away as Dubai signing up for Lose It and Love It and is one of the finalists in this evening’s Bees Knee’s business awards.

Christy, 34, of Meadowfield, Whitelea Road, said: “My marriage ended very unexpectedly and I was back in Kilmacolm.

“I couldn’t go back to my retail job because it was very demanding and not family-friendly.

“There were a lot of late shifts that I couldn’t do on my own with three boys.”

Christy says she suffered from the emotional turmoil of her break-up and adapting to life on her own with her three boys Logan, nine, Rory, six, and Charlie, four.

She said: “I went from a size eight to 14 but I was unhappy and knew I had to do something.”

Determined Christy put an eating plan in place, took regular exercise and turned her life around.

She succeeded in reaching a super fit size eight and then turned her attention to others.

Christy said: “People were always asking me for advice.

“I thought, ‘wait a minute, I could do this for a living’.”

The Kilmacolm mum set up her 12-week online eating plan a year ago.

She also gives people access to her chat groups and ties in with a personal trainer to offer people an all-round experience.

She said: “It really is all about common sense and the big no-no is sugar.

“I have clients from all over the place and it is great to see them losing weight.”
