PURPLE players shone at Port Glasgow’s bowling green as ladies gathered for a colourful charity day.
The ladies section of Port Glasgow Bowling Club raised over £600 for Erskine — the charity which cares for veterans.
To celebrate the occasion, the ladies wore purple, the charity’s colour, and took to the green for a special match.
After a fiercely contested game, the ladies then enjoyed afternoon tea and a raffle was also drawn.
The club raised £677 and are keen to thank everyone who came along, especially those who donated raffle prizes and home baking.
Last week some of the team visited Erskine Care Home, below right, to present the cheque.
