JAI Quitongo reckons Morton need to make a flying start against Dundee United this afternoon if they are to have the best chance of picking up a positive result.
Ton welcome the Terrors to Cappielow in today’s Championship match and Quitongo is hopeful his side can emulate last weekend’s impressive win over Brechin City.
Gary Oliver netted after just four minutes against Darren Dods’ men and his strike partner believes an early goal again can set the Greenock club on their way to victory over the league leaders.
He told the Tele: “Dundee United are top of the table, so they’re the big hitters in this league. But I think last time we were unlucky not to come away from Tannadice with at least a draw.
“We go into today’s game fresh and if we can take the last couple of games’ form into this one, we can get a good start against a strong team. That’s what we’ll be looking for.
“It’s always good to go into every game with some form behind you but we’ve seen teams go into games with a bit of momentum in the past then end up with poor
results.
“If we play to our strengths, and use our attributes, I think we can get a positive result.”
