SEVERAL police cars and a dog branch van were called to Gourock train station.
The vehicles were seen at Pierhead at around 5.30pm last night.
A spokesperson for Greenock police said this morning that the presence was there helping with the search for a vulnerable missing person.
The individual was later traced safe and well.
