A BUBBLY beautician is ready to get on her soapbox in aid of Ardgowan Hospice.

Ana Inga will negotiate a sea of frothing foam when she tackles the 5k Bubble Rush event for the charity.

It sees entrants blasted with coloured foam and bubbles along a city route.

The 31-year-old, who operates in Stewart’s Hair and Beauty Salon in Greenock, says she can’t wait to take on the challenge in aid of Ardgowan.

She said: “Last year a couple of my friends did it and they said it was so much fun.

“So I couldn’t wait to sign up for it.

“I’ve chosen to raise money for Ardgowan Hospice because it’s a very important place.

“It’s a fun event and if you can help raise money for the hospice too, then that’s great.

“I hope to encourage others to sign up.”

Ana is no stranger to collecting money for the hospice, as last year she raised over £400 for patients.

She raised the money by donating £50 from each semi-permanent and permanent eyebrow treatment at her salon to the hospice, motivated by the loss of some friends.

Ana said: “Last year I lost quite a few clients, which was really sad.

“I’m just glad that I could help.”

The Bubble Rush 5k run is at Bellahouston Park on Sunday May 6 and entry details are available via the hospice Facebook page.
