A MAN was rushed to hospital last night after he was attacked outside a Greenock pub.
The incident happened outside Lithgows in Cathcart Street at around 8.15pm.
Police say the 32-year-old suffered a facial injury and was taken to hospital in Glasgow.
A spokesman for Greenock CID, said: "A 32-year-old male was assaulted and suffered a facial injury.
"It is being treated as a serious assault.
"He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
"Any witnesses are asked to phone Greenock CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
