MOTORISTS are being reminded that a £1m programme of roadworks which will close three stretches of the A78 starts this weekend.
It begins with the resurfacing of the road north of Largs on Friday.
The project will see the resurfacing of approximately three kilometres and the A78 will be closed in the locations.
The full timetable is as follows: Largs North, from 8pm on April 6 until 6am on April 9; Skelmorlie South, 8pm on April 13 until 6am on April 16; Wemyss Bay, from 8pm April 20 until 6am on April 23.
A spokesperson for Scotland Transerv said: "Because of the nature of the trunk road network in this area of South West Scotland, diversions routes are significant and will add additional time onto journeys. Motorists and ferry passengers in particular are advised to plan their journey."
