A MAN has been arrested following an alleged robbery in Greenock which left a pensioner in hospital.
An 81-year-old woman was robbed of her bag, which contained cash, at around 2pm on Friday at the junction of Inverkip Road and Auchneagh Road.
She fell to the ground, sustaining a head injury and was taken to hospital to be treated for a bleed to the brain.
Yesterday police appealed for anyone with information to come forward. A 25-year-old man has now been arrested.
