FAMILIES produced a stirring show of support at a fundraiser in aid of a local school.

It was all smiles at a coffee morning held to collect money for Craigmarloch pupils.

Westburn Church on Nelson Street in Greenock hosted the event, which was organised by the parent council.

Thanks to generous donations, the coffee morning saw almost £230 raised for the school.

Families turned out in force to support the event, enjoy a cuppa and have a chat.

A whole host of stalls did a roaring trade on the day.

One of the most popular stands sold delicious cakes.

All the money raised from the event will be ploughed back into the school for the benefit of the pupils.

Organisers from the parent council were delighted with the sum raised.

They are already planning further events in the lead-up to the end of term.

Craigmarloch pupils and staff will be bag packing in Tesco on Saturday May 26 and their summer fete takes place on Saturday June 9, with a visit from a fire engine already included in the attractions being lined up for the big day.
