POLICE have today issued CCTV images as they step up their attempts to track down a man who robbed an off licence in Greenock town centre.
Officers believe that the man in these pictures may be able to 'assist with their enquiries' into the recent raid on the Liquor Shed.
It happened just before 9pm on Wednesday April 25.
A man entered the West Stewart Street shop and threatened the counter assistant with a weapon, forcing him to hand over a three-figure sum of cash.
Police described the man they are looking for as white, 5ft 4' in height and of slim build.
He was wearing a dark beanie hat, black hooded jacket, grey trousers, dark coloured trainers and dark coloured gloves. He was carrying a black rucksack.
Anyone who recognises the man, or who has any information that may assist police with their enquiries, should contact Greenock Police Station via 101.
Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
