FUNDRAISING fun in the sun was had by all at the Morrisons store in Greenock as revellers of all ages turned out for a day of giving to Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Supermarket staff dressed up as popular animated characters Shrek and the Minions to help boost the coffers for the charity day, which was hailed as a huge success.

Organiser Carol Mountain said: "Everyone had a brilliant time, even folk who were off duty turned out to take part and enjoy the event.

"I think it really lifted everyone to know that they were contributing to such a good cause.

"We're still counting the proceeds but it's looking like it's going to be a very good final total."

Attractions during the five-hour event included face painting, a bouncy castle, tombola, baking and a raffle.

Carol said: "It's the first time we've done something like this and I hope we can do it again, maybe for Clic Sargent next time.

"We are very happy to have been able to support Guide Dogs for the Blind, and it was great to see so many people bringing along their own dogs on the day."
