A GREENOCK businessman says he is 'scunnered' after thieves targeted his premises for the second time in a matter of weeks.

The latest break-in happened between 11.15pm and 11.40pm on Tuesday at car valet firm Angelwax Detailing in Bogston Lane.

Owner Craig Nelson says the two male culprits were seen on CCTV arriving in a car at the back of the premises.

One man then slipped under the gate of the yard before the pair made off with an outboard motor engine from a boat.

The theft comes just five weeks after a brazen thief smashed a window to get inside the office before fleeing with between £1,200 and £1,500 in cash and a Sony Alpha A200 DSLR camera.

Craig believes the two incidents are linked.

He said: "I'm just totally scunnered.

"I have tightened up security - I don't know how I can make it more secure."

Craig said it was disheartening to watch the thieves in action on the CCTV.

He said: "They park round the back and one guys comes round and crawls under the gate.

"He unhooks the outboard motor from the boat and manhandles this thing about 20 yards to the gate.

"He tries to get the thing under the gate, struggles a bit but he does get it under.

"The other drives the car round and they load it into the boot before driving off.

"The outboard motor is worth nothing, it doesn't even work.

"It's from my dad's boat."

Craig, who has reported the incident to the police, said the engine is an Evinrude 35hp.
