THE summer camps may be over but the season is just kicking off for Morton's community coaching team.

More than 100 young footballers filled Notre Dame, pictured, and other venues across Inverclyde to hone their skills.

Morton Community Trust is inspiring youngsters to get active and build a love sport.

Tots, teenagers and budding Ronaldos of all ages took part during the school holiday.

Now the coaches are busy running sessions in communities across Inverclyde.

Project worker Blair Kelly, who coordinated the camps with Laura Williamson, said: "It was a great success and we had lots of children of all ages throughout the summer.

"Now we are busy with our term time sessions. We are well established now and we' starting to see young footballers in our under 14s who have been with us from the start."

The Morton Trust team run sessions in nurseries and they offer a range of activities for schools throughout the year.

They have boy and girl football teams, hockey teams and coach throughout the week.

Morton Community Trust run Girls only football in Gibshill, Wemyss Bay and Port Glasgow Shared campus. Micro Morton for 2 to 4 year olds run in Clydeview Academy, Gibshill Children's Centre, Inverkip Church, Clydeview Academy.

Mini Morton for primary ones to P3 run in St Columba's, Kilmacolm, Gibshill Children's Centre, Inverkip Church, Clydeview Academy and Inverclyde Academy.
