FAMOUS Greenock actor Martin Compston is proving he's 'Still Game' - after landing a part in the final series of the iconic BBC One comedy.
Martin will take on a one-off character role in the ninth series of the show alongside the show's plucky pensioners Jack and Victor.
Filming on the series began last week at BBC Scotland’s Dumbarton Studios and the six-week shoot will also see filming take place in locations across Glasgow.
Martin, who stars in BBC One Police drama Line of Duty, will be joined by music chart toppers Midge Ure, Amy MacDonald and Clare Grogan as well as Taggart star James McPherson and DJ and presenter Des Clarke.
The Greenock actor previously told the Tele he is a huge fan of the show and said to appear in it would be a major thrill.
Steven Canny, the executive producer at the BBC Studios Comedy, said: “We’re delighted that such brilliant performers from the worlds of music, comedy and gritty television crime are coming to join us.
"Alongside our brilliant core cast they look well set to give the show the send-off it deserves."
