BIG-HEARTED regulars from a local bar have raised hundreds of pounds to help a little boy close to their hearts.
Little Ethan Hepburn suffered a brain injury at birth which has left him with cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
His parents Gillian and Michael, of Devon Road, recently launched a fundraising appeal to pay for equipment and adaptations he will need as he gets older.
Diane Rebecchi, licensee of the Burns Lounge, knows the family and she and her customers were only too happy to help with an event which saw £650 collected.
Diane said: "We held a great old fashioned games night with Play Your Cards Right, racing snails and putting.
"Ethan's parents are customers of mime, so are his grandparents.
"We handed the money over on the night.
"They were over the moon."
Michael has thanked everyone who helped make the bash such a success.
He said: "It was a fabulous wee night.
"Me and Gillian were just so thankful for our friends and family's generosity, big thanks to my mum Elaine, Lorna Findlay and Susannah Knox for organising sorting all the games and raffles.
"We also want to thank Diane for having us in the Burns Lounge."
Gillian said: "We are totally overwhelmed.
"We have a great community spirit in this area and to raise £650 from a small event was amazing."
