TWO Inverclyde gymnasts are ready to raise the bar after being selected to compete for Scotland at a prestigious competition.
Logan Coyle and Lee O'Donnell, who are both members of Largs Gymnastics Club, have been selected to represent their country at the British Grades Finals in Birmingham.
Nine-year-old Logan, who attends Inverkip Primary School, recently won gold at grade 1 level and this will be his first time at the major event.
His proud mum Debra Jack said: "Gymnastics is his life.
"He loves it and trains about 15 hours a week, sometimes more.
"It's a big commitment but he absolutely loves training.
"He particularly enjoys the tumbling, the floor and the high bar."
Lee O’Donnell, 10, from Gourock's Weymouth Crescent, who attends Moorfoot Primary, will represent Scotland for the second consecutive year following a fourth place finish in Grade 2.
His mum Kirsty O'Donnell, says she is 'very proud' of his achievement.
She said: "This is his second year of qualifying so it's a big achievement.
"He's so chuffed - he's delighted."
Gymnastics runs in Lee's family as his sisters Zoe, 13, and Amy eight, also compete.
Lee and Logan were among a team of six young gymnasts from Largs Gymnastics Club who celebrated outstanding results at the Scottish Men’s Artistic Grade Championships held in Perth.
The other club gymnasts who will also compete in Birmingham are Grant Arneil, Conor Taylor, Aaron Convery and Lee Gordon.
