DETECTIVES are continuing investigations into a knife attack in Greenock yesterday morning.
A 34-year-old man was stabbed on the back of the head, on the neck and shoulder outside a house in Sinclair Street following a disturbance.
It happened around 7am.
Around 10 people are believed to have been involved in the violence, which spilled onto the street following a house party.
Detective Sergeant Neil Martin of Greenock CID said: "We are still making enquiries into the serious assault and are appealing for witnesses."
The victim made his own way to Inverclyde Royal where he was treated with five stitches and later released.
