ONE of Inverclyde's best loved youth theatre groups had all the right answers as they returned to the stage with a sensational musical show.

Kayos members had the chance to show off all their talents with their production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee comedy at the Beacon.

Director Kevin Jannetts hailed his young cast and those behind-the-scenes who pulled it off.

Kevin, who was recently involved in a sell out show at the Fringe, said: "We had a such an amazing response to the Spelling Bee, great feedback from people who came along to see it.

"We are using a recent lottery grant to reduce our membership fees and make it even more inclusive.

"We want people to come along and give it a try.

"There are loads of young people who might be in school shows or love drama.

"We are a big Kayos family here.

"In the Spelling Bee some people are on stage for the first time."

Now Kayos are about to start rehearsing for the Scottish One Act Festival, which they took part in for the first time last year.

The cast spent hours and hours rehearsing for the Spelling Bee.

Kayos produce a musical once a year and also take part in drama festivals and community art projects.

They meet weekly on Sundays from 2-5pm in the Masonic Hall, Lodge 175 , West Stewart St, Greenock
