DETECTIVES are following a positive line of inquiry in the hunt for the attacker of a 15-year-old boy on a Port Glasgow bike track.
The youth suffered an eye injury and required stitches after the incident on the path near Mackie Avenue on Friday at around 8.15pm.
Police are treating it as a serious assault.
Officers say a large group of youths were involved in the incident.
Detectives have this morning confirmed that they are following a positive line of inquiry.
