POLICE are hunting three men who left another man with a fractured cheekbone following an unprovoked attack in Greenock.


The trio, described as being in their late teens or early 20s, assaulted the 56-year-old while he was waiting for a taxi at the rank on Roxburgh Street near West Station at around 1am on Sunday. 


The victim suffered a fractured cheekbone and is being treated in hospital.


The attackers were all wearing dark clothing and have short hair.
They fled the scene and made off towards Mount Pleasant Street.
