THREE Inverclyde women have been awarded MBEs in the Queen's New Year's Honours.
Reach for Autism founder Vicki McCarthy, Oak Tree Housing Association vice-chair Jackie McKelvie and charity fundraiser Sheila MacLeod have all been included on the list.
The honours list was published tonight.
Vicki, from Greenock, has been honoured for services to the autism community in Inverclyde.
The centre she set up in Ratho Street has grown over the years to become a key source of support to many families in Inverclyde affected by autism.
Jackie, who lives in Gourock, receives an MBE for voluntary service to social housing locally.
Sheila, also of Gourock, is honoured for her work for a variety of good causes.
All three will be off to Buckingham Palace in London next year to receive their honours.
