TOTS and grown ups in Gourock are singing their hearts out in their local library.

Fun-club Bookbug is a not-to-be-missed event in the weekly diary for mums, dads, grandparents, toddlers and babies.

It is a chance to sing and have fun to the sound of familiar songs, rhymes and stories, led by trained staff.

Lullabies like Ally Bally are mixed in with Bookbug favourites and action songs like 'wind the bobbin up'.

The hugely successful initiative aims to foster a love of literacy from a young age.

It is also a chance to for parents and children to bond, discover and explore their local library and become part of the community, as Bookbug opens doors to events in the library and other family events.

The Tele dropped by to a session on Thursday to see the tots having a terrific time.

Inside the circle the tiny tots learned lots of nursery rhymes and stories.

Gourock Library's Bookbug sessions take place twice a week.

They run on Mondays from 11.15 to 11.55am and again on Thursday from 11.15 to 11.55am.

Bookbug is also available at other libraries across the district.
