PEOPLE from all walks of life and abilities are embracing the benefits of Tai Chi.

A class run at Your Voice in Clyde Square every week is proving particularly popular with older ladies.

The sessions are led by instructor James Watson.

Stephen Harrison, communications and engagement officer with Your Voice, says the class fits in well with the philosophy of the community care forum.

He said: "It's in keeping with our ethos of keeping active in older life and alleviating isolation and loneliness.

"It's about providing a sense of community for older people who struggle to get out."

Your Voice offers several activities through its peer network, with the focus on friendship and companionship.

The organisation also lets out space for local instructors to run classes.

Stephen said: "The Tai Chi class is a really well-established one and very popular.

"People of all ages and abilities are welcome and individuals who have mobility issues can still take part in the class."

The class runs on Mondays from 12.30pm and costs £2.
