Police probe after vans torched in Gourock and Port Glasgow
DETECTIVES are appealing for information after two vans were set on fire overnight.
A Ford van was set on fire in Henderson Terrace, Gourock just after midnight.
The second, a Volkswagen Crafter was set alight on Iona Road, Port Glasgow at 1.15am.
Police believe that both cases were wilful and say they appear to be linked.
Detective Sergeant Neil Martin, said: "It appears that both fires are linked. The cabins of both were found to be the source of the fire.
"We are appealing for any witnesses, dash cam footage, CCTV footage, private or commercial, that may show vehicles or people in the areas around those times.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Greenock CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800555111."
